Mixing it up

I often want to make sure that everything matches perfectly, but there is something to be said about mixing it up. I have decided to get out of my comfort zone and play with colour, texture and hardware. It's amazing what happens when you let go and play; the imagination takes over and creativity flourishes. The more you do the more creative you become.

The fall fashion trends of 2017 have mixed patterns and layering; I am using this as inspiration for dressing our table. Below you will find my first mixing of colours and patterns.  It certainly sparked some interesting conversation about creativity that resulted in some mind blowing dialogue.  After all the dinning table is the mecca of open discussion so go ahead dress your table tonight to inspire your conversation.

The subtle hints of white and blue in the runner is picked up by the strong and bold navy and red in the napkin complimented by wooden chopsticks and charger.  The mixing of wine glasses compliments the layering of different texture with hardware tying it all back with white and blue plates.  Want the look? You can purchase the napkins, runner and table cloth at our shop.  The cotton and silk napkins are designed by House of JAKI as part of our dinnerware collection.
